Practical advice for Walking the Path

To walk the trail from La Verna Francis in Assisi, one need not be professional athletes but simply passionate pilgrims, well-trained and accustomed to walking for several days in a row. The traditional division of the trail consists of seven stages, each about 30 km.
The path is long enough (about 190 miles) and its difficulty increases with the heat, so it is advisable to avoid the summer months and favor from March to May and from September to October.
The fashion of the hiker and equipment based on a fundamental principle: to bring only the bare minimum. Engineers, to be exact, advise you not to bring more than 1/6 of its weight and to choose materials that light and breathable, as well as limiting the effects of perspiration, wash and dry quickly. The equipment depends in part on the season.

What you must have:
Backpack (40 to 50 liters) with the waist strap to take the weight on the hips;
Water bottle water (1 liter) along the way you can fill with fresh water. It is then useful to always carry a small snack (chocolate, energy bars, fruit, small sandwiches with jam or honey ...);
Waterproof backpack cover: no weight and save the contents of the backpack from the rain;
Sleeping bag: no summer because it can be cool;
Mat;
Suit: it is also wanting pajamas;
Lightweight fleece;
Hat: straw hats, or technical wide-brimmed hats for light rain;
Linen: microfiber panties, socks breathable technical material against sweat and padded properly (check the goodness, because the feet are the most important thing for the pilgrim), breathable undershirts;
Hiking shoes: never to wear new shoes;
Sandals: to rest your feet and take a shower;
Trekking wand: to balance the pace, not essential;
Toiletry bag and pharmacy: scissors, plasters and blisters normal, disinfectant, analgesic, antiinflammatory, sunscreen, toilet paper;
Towels: Volume attention because they are in the backpack;
Cotton shirts: that send heat to the outside;
Pants: long and short (ideally one that opens with the hinge);
Windbreaker: goretex for rain;
Kit laundry: clothes pegs and string;
Personal Kit: toothpaste, toothbrush, soap (for bathing and washing clothes);
And then... boxcutter multi-use, camera, mobile phone and charger, documents, sunglasses, flashlight, notebook and pen, earplugs.
